These lifeless characters are raping belts non-stop, leaving the belts permanately barron. This in turn, forces legitamate miners to congregate and exploit systems relatively free of macro demons. This cycle of abuse has caused a noticeable negative change in the market, and is only weeks from becomming a landslide that cannot be avoided. Since EVERYTHING in EVE Market depends upon ore, if a solution is not implemented quickly, this may well cause the end of eve. If any of you feel that I'm just a "chicken little" on this, take a stroll through the asteroid feilds. (I searched every belt in 14 systems before comming to this realization) A "Bandage" would be renewing the belts at each downtime, keeping the market stable until a solution can be implemented.
I believe you are woefully overestimating the effect that macrominers are having and do not realize that CCP has an economist on staff to monitor the market. Surely he would notice if the sky was falling.
I don't think he does at all. His point is that the competition of the Macro's has reduced the prices so drastically that the 'worth' of the miners work is nigh on irrelevant. Good news for PvPers? Sure, you're now in a position where if you insure a ship you actually incur no cost at all and you can afford to just throw ships at the enemy. This inturn results in PVPers wanting to kill carebears, because lets face it, you don't need them anymore. Now think back to a time, when you actually HAD to go out and protect your miners, so they could build your ships, 0.0 alliances of all Calibre's NEEDED carebears to be able to feed their PvP habit. Wasn't it more fun when losing your ships actually had consiquences??? I think so. PvP offers no rush at all now as I know I can just jump in head 1st with no real financial dump on wallet whatsoever
In essence, the macro's have killed the circle of life that made EVE work together as a team. PvPers will never admit it, because they never liked looking after carebears, it was a necesity to survive. Only people you see moaning about macro's are miners, because they have had their careers ripped out from underneath them and ****ed on.
